I didn’t know you had passed till today. Pleasantdale, Henderson…Lynnray.…the swim team…you were a big part of my childhood. You would come down to visit during the 15 minutes your mom gave you to go play during the summer and weekends. How we played music in the office..you bought my Prince collection so I could get my drivers license when I was 15. After you moved to Maysville, we lost touch. I am so sorry what happened to you…rest in peace, Mel ❤️

Mel and I met in Jacksonville, Fl. He quickly became one of my dearest friends, hanging out together twice a week or more, always talking & laughing together. He had a way of making me feel good about myself and always being there for me. I just found out about his death last night and am heartbroken. My heart goes out to you all and my heart grieves for the loss of my beloved friend.
