Obituary of Brenda Diane Wade

Funeral services for Brenda Diane Story Wade, age 68, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Derek Farr officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Ms. Wade passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Tanner Medical Center-East Alabama in Wedowee.

Survivors include: two daughters, Daphne Darda (Bobby) and Samantha Hall (Jeff), both of Roanoke; two sons, Coty Brown (Ksenya) of Wedowee and Joey Brown of Clio, AL; nine grandchildren, Desaray Darda, Angela Prescott, Jacob Darda, Justin Pinkard, C. J. Pinkard, Jayden Hudson, McKinley Brown, Lucy Greer, and Madison Greer; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Justin Pinkard, C. J. Pinkard, Jacob Darda, Jayden Hudson, Chris Dye, Danny Dye, Keyvon Crenshaw, and Rodney Crenshaw.  Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Dye, Jeff Hall, Bobby Darda, and Braxton Darda.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Wade was born on August 31, 1955, the daughter of Preston “Pete” and Myrtress Crenshaw Story.  She was retired from JAC Products.  Ms. Wade was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Willis Dye.
