My deepest condolences to the family! I met Jamarkus a couple of times through my daughter. Jamarkus was her first boyfriend. I’m thankful for him loving her the way he did, and for showing her how a young lady should be treated. He was the most respectful, kind and sweetest young man I’ve ever met! He exuded so much joy and love! He truly will be deeply missed!

In our mournful hearts, may we find solace in remembering Jamarkus as an embodiment of divine love and kindness. His wisdom was a generous gift to all who knew him; his thoughtfulness embodied his spirit. May the courageous heart he possessed remind us of his eternal presence whenever we seek a friend's comfort. Through faith, may peace swiftly find its place in our grieving souls.

I am so very sorry for your loss. As his second grade teacher I remember Jamarcus as a smart and sweet young boy. He was always willing to help his classmates in any way possible. He came in every morning with the biggest smile and left every afternoon with a smile and a hug. You and your whole family have my deepest sympathy and prayers.

I moved to Randolph County three years ago and Jay was one of my first friends. Jay made sure everyone was happy at all times, even if he wasn’t. A memory I have with Jay was when I was at his 15th birthday party and he played the piano and sang for us. Jay was talented, smart, kind, and generous. Jay will be missed dearly.

I taught Jemarkus math the last semester of seventh grade. He was such a well-behaved young man and very smart in my class. I have sweet memories of him sitting in the back of the classroom. He kept most of his books and gym clothes in a cabinet in the room. I didn’t mind for I was glad he trusted me enough to take care of his things. I will continue to pray for his sweet family and friends. I am honored that I got to know this special young man!
