My name is Catherine Hart. We were delighted to have sweet Cade in our preschool. We were able to care for him administering his insulin by a shot when he was tiny at the age of only 2 years old. When it was time to give Cade his insulin, he would hop up on our counter & say " don't forget to add in the syrup I had with my pancake" Cade was so quick to add a little jab of a joke when getting his insulin. As Cade grew , We were so excited when he was able to have a pump! So much easier for him no needles! We still made sure to count his carbs & make sure we were correct inputting everything to make sure Cade was safe with his levels at all times. Many phone calls to Cades Mom& Dad to make sure we had everything correct. This little Man has stolen our heart! We got the special blessing to know this Brilliant Fun Loving little man. As he grew & left our preschool, I had the privilege of running into Cade & his family at First Baptist Wedowee. Cade ran to me with open arms, It had been a few years since I had seen him. He ran up to me & said Ms. Catherine! My heart exploded! I was so happy he remembered me!!!!! Cade loved Jesus. When he was just 4 years old we would bring him into the office at Preschool & ask him -Cade where does Jesus live? He would say guys you always ask me this then he would go on & say" In My Heart" laughing with so many hugs to follow. We loved pulling him out of class just to talk with him. Cade was so young when we were blessed to care for him. We loved this little man more than Y'all knew. Cade touched our life as educators & filled us with so much joy caring for his diabetes on a daily basis when he was in our care. What a brave man! As we heard about Cade being in a Coma we all just prayed& prayed for him. We love your family! Please know the little time we had with him at preschool, touched us deeply. It was hard seeing y'all at visitation tonight, Your family is so strong so bold & so loving. We love all of you & will keep praying!
Ms. Catherine loves you Sweet Cade

Since Parker has known Cade, they were immediately friends. They loved each other. They talked to each other. Cade was like a son to us. We loved him so very much. Parker loved playing baseball and football with him.

The first day I met Cade was when I was a substitute for his class. He came up to me and introduced himself and said if I needed any help, just let him know. He was a great help! Throughout the day he shared stories about his family and playing sports. He was always upbeat and his smile was contagious!! I looked forward to the days I subbed in his class. We quickly became friends. I will miss him for sure.
Cade's parents and family - Cade was a blessing to me and I am honored to have known him for a short time. Praying for you.

Cade you and your life has made such an impact on this community. I have been so blessed to have been your Nana! You were the Best grandson I could have ever wished for, so handsome, smart, kind to others, and so loving. I know Jesus has a field that you are playing on now and you are on the King’s team. I will never ever forget you.
I love you so very much. Love forever Nana
