Obituary of Glenn E. Traylor

Funeral services for Glenn E. Traylor, age 87, of Wedowee will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Holcombe and Bro. Brandon Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth North Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Mr. Traylor passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Traylor of Wedowee; one daughter, Pam Bailey (Donald) of Wedowee; four sons, Paul Traylor (Pam) of Roopville, GA, Tim Traylor (Paula) of Wedowee, and Richie Traylor (Michelle) and Justin Traylor (Miranda), both of Delta; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Josh Bailey, Scott Sheppard, Sam Traylor, Brad Traylor, Luke Traylor, and Stacey Roberts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Winford Hill, Tommy Camp, Lynn Bain, Gunny Watters, Dickey Traylor, and Rodney Traylor.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Traylor was born on September 24, 1936, the son of S G and Lorena Braden Traylor.  He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church – North and worked as a farmer.  Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rebecca Traylor Moss; and one brother, James Robert Traylor and a beloved daughter in law, Kimberly Traylor.
