Obituary of Ralph Stanley Johnson

Obituary Notice Funeral services for Ralph Stanley, "Jr" Johnson will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Iduma Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Craft and Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Mr. Johnson will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2009. Mr. Johnson died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Wedowee Hospital. Mr. Johnson is survived by one son, Michael Johnson of Boyd, TX; one sister, Mildred Taylor of Wedowee; one brother, Harold Johnson of Boyd, TX; two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chester Wortham, Phillip Wortham, Steve Taylor, Stanley Taylor, Steve Williamson and Jimmy Barnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Brooks, Chris Mitchell and Bill Thrasher. Mr. Johnson was born April 11, 1946, to R. S. and Unice Reaves Johnson. He was a member of the Iduma Congregational Methodist Church and had been a press operator for Hager Hinge. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents.
