Obituary of KATHRYN STEWART MUSTELLAR

Obituary Notice Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Stewart Mostellar, age 89, of Wedowee, will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. from the Midway United Methodist Church with Rev. Max McCord officiating. Mrs. Mostellar will lie in state thirty minutes before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Mrs. Mostellar died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at LaGrange Nursing Home and Rehab. Mrs. Mostellar is survived by two daughters, Emily (husband Wendell) Lovvorn of LaGrange, GA, Marian (husband Kevin) Smith of Fairfax, VA; one son, Murphy (wife Sandra) Mosteilar of Hoover; one brother, Don Stewart of Calera; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Mostellar was born October 16, 1920, the daughter of Handley and Winnie Shanks Stewart. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and had been medical transcriptionist for West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Mostellar was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Mostellar, SR; her parents; one daughter, Sarah Kearbey.
