Funeral services for James H. Williams, age 52, of Wedowee, will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 28, 2010 from Union Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Spidell, Rev. William
Phillips and Rev. William Crawford officiating. Mr. Williams will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2010.
Mr. Williams died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mary Presley Williams of Wedowee; four daughters, Shandolyn Presley, Shamika Presley, LaToya Presley, and Tijuania Williams; one son, James Josef "JJ" Williams; his mother, Sara Nell Williams; eleven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derek Sims, Greg Sims, Chris Roundtree, Cedric Williams, Justin Williams, Anthony Wright and Corey Williams.
Mr. Williams was born August 21, 1957, the son of James Alford and Sara Nell Williamson Williams. He was a member of Burkes Chapel and had been a Survey Engineer for Southern Company. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father
