Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Mr. Glenn Harold Carpenter, age 47, of Wedowee, will be held, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 11:00 am, from the Roanoke Church of Christ with Bro. Dale Jenkins officiating. Mr. Carpenter will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
Mr. Carpenter died Monday, August 23, 2010.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife, Tracy Faulkner Carpenter of Wedowee; three sons, Casey Carpenter, Corey Carpenter and Austin Carpenter all of Wedowee; his parents, Sam and Mary Bramlett Carpenter of Wedowee; three sisters, Amy Lyles of Prattville, Mona Van Dyke of Nashville, TN, Shelia Haney of Piedmont; one brother Jason Carpenter of Nashville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Lin Turner, John Davis, George Childress, Paul Romine, Johnny Wallace and Mac MacGinniss.
Mr. Carpenter was born, August 4, 1963. He was a member of the Roanoke Church of Christ and a truck driver of McElroy Trucking Company.
