Funeral services for Mevolene French Brown age 83 of
Woodland will be held at 1:00 PM Friday April 8, 2011 at Ava Methodist Church
with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to
service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Lineville
Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Delores(Harold)
Harmon of Wedowee, and Jennifer Brown of Eclectic, three sons, Merlyn(Mylinda)
Brown of Heflin, Anthony(Melanie) Brown of Hartselle, and Sam Brown of Hartselle,
two sisters, Mrytie Butler of Bowdon, GA, and Martha McManus of Wedowee, 11
grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alex Brown, Chandler Brown, Casey
Harmon, Randy Plaisance, Jason Lowe, John Harmon, Nick French, and Harold
Harmon.
Mrs. Brown was born November 15, 1927 the daughter of Charles
A. and Mary Elizabeth Crouch French. She was a member of Ava United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband A.J. Brown one grandchild Baylee
Lauren Brown, two brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of
Wedowee on Thursday April 7, 2011 from 5 till 7 PM. Flowers
will be accepted or donations can be made to Four Corners Ministries
P.O. Box 161 Wedowee, AL 36278.
