Grandma was the best you could ask for. You could tell she had been a teacher, it was in her personality. From the time I could talk her corrected my english and made sure that I spoke correctly. She taught me how to write in cursive when I was 5 and laughed when I got in trouble at school for using it before we were taught. She would teach us new things everytime we came to see her.
I also loved helping her in the kitchen. She was a wonderful, inventive cook. From "witches brew" ice cream with gummy worms at Halloween to potato pierogies, she always made it fun.
I'm so glad she got to meet my first child Garrett. She loved him very much and always said he had eyes like his Great Granddaddy.
