Obituary of Neal Huddleston

Funeral services for Neal C. Huddleston, 78, of Wedowee, will be held Thursday Nov. 17, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Dempsey, Rev. Bob Bain, and Rev. Freddie Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Wednesday Nov. 16, 2011. Mr. Huddleston died Tuesday Nov. 15, 2011, at his home. Survivors include one daughter, Diane White, two sons David Huddleston, of Wedowee, and Billy Cofield of Heflin, one sister Rebecca Manning of Opelika, and three brothers Earl Huddleston of Wedowee, Gerald Huddleston of Wedowee, and Larry Huddleston of Newell, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alfred Huddleston, Alex Huddleston, Winford Huddleston, Wendell Huddleston, Jerry Huddleston, and Ray Huddleston. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Huddleston was born Dec. 14, 1932, the son of Millard and Mae Cofield Huddleston. He was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church, and was retired from Blue Mountain Cotton Mill.
