Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Lila V. Holloway Towler age 88 of Wedowee will be held Monday May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Corky Addison and Rev. Cade Farris officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Towler passed away Friday May 11, 2012 at Wedowee Hospital.
Mrs. Towler is survived by a daughter Margaret (Jackson) Prestridge of Wedowee; two sisters Virginia Taylor and Symirow Messer both of Wedowee; three grandsons Jack (Joanna) Prestridge, Pat (Amy) Prestridge and Mark (Robin) Prestridge; five great-grandchildren Hannah, John Mark, Andrew, Elizabeth and Emma.
Pallbearers will be Steve Davidson, Brenford Davidson, Jamie Towler, Junior Towler, Terry Messer and Kenneth Messer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Davidson, Jimmy Blackmon and Thomas Langley.
Mrs. Towler was born June 22, 1923 the daughter of Vester and Georgia Young Holloway. She was retired from the Randolph County Board of Education. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bonnie L. (Pete) Towler, a sister Laverne Davidson and a brother Wilford Holloway.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Sunday May 13, 2012 from 5 till 8 PM.
