Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Diane Patricia Hopkins age 72 of Rainbow City will be held Monday June 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Noonday Christian Church with Rev. Harold Bonner officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Hopkins passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hopkins is survived by one daughter Trisha Hopkins of Birmingham; three sons Johnny (Renee) Hopkins of St. Augustine, Fl., Steve B. Hopkins of Rainbow City and Steven T. Hopkins of Rainbow City; four sisters Linda Karasevich, Sandra Andrews and Peggy Pyrlik all of Duluth, Mn., and Judy Pyrlik of Minneapolis, Mn: one brother Terry Pyrlik of Brookhaven, Mn: two grandchildren Alyssa Hopkins and Conner Hopkins.
Mrs. Hopkins was born May 7, 1940 the daughter of Martin and Lucille Kirby Pyrlik. She was a retired business manager for Richard Kendricks and a Christian by faith. She was at one time the business manager for Arnold Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Edgar J. Hopkins.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
The family will accept friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Sunday June 3, 2012 from 4 till 6 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
