OBITUARY
Funeral services for Jeanne Hill Key, age 81, of Wedowee will be held Sunday, August 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, Anniston, with graveside services conducted by Rev. William P. Nelson beginning at 3:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Sunday.
Mrs. Key died Friday, August 3, 2012, at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include one sister, Julia Haynes of LaGrange, Ga.; one brother, Linward Hill (Peggy) of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Kay N. Key of Oxford; special sister-in-law, Naomi Hill of Wedowee; many beloed nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Billy Brewer, Emmett Hill, Donald Hill, Tommy Haynes, Sid Nelson and Larry Wilson.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Key was born April 26, 1931, daughter of Matthew and Josephine Mize Hill. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold B. Key; son, Wendell B. Key; brothers, John Hill, Felton Hill, and J. T. Hill; sisters, Alice Darden and Vaner Hayes.
Mrs. Key loved attending and assisting patients at church at Clay County Nursing Home. She enjoyed this for several years and had many special friends there. We will miss her kindness, her loving heart and her willingness to help others.
