John Robert Gould of Woodland, AL passed away on February 1, 2020 at his residence at the age of 59. Mr. Gould was born on April 28, 1960, in Fort Ord, California being part of a US Army family. The Gould family is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan his entire life. Mr. Gould was employed by the General Services Administration (GSA) as a Building Inspector for almost 30 years.
Mr. Gould is preceded in death by his father Wallace R. Gould and brother-in-law Joseph E. Beckom. He is survived by his wife Sonya L. Gould, daughters Wendy Sutton of Piedmont, SC; Amber (Justin) Trotter of Rome, GA; Amanda (Jason) Evanco of Villa Rica, GA; son John Gould, Jr. of LaGrange, GA and stepson Brandon (Amber) Boring of SC. Mr. Gould is also survived by his mother Mary G. Gould; mother-in-law Sonnijay F. Owens; sisters Cindy Beckom; Debbie Cox; and brother Wallace (Teresa) Gould; 6 grandchildren, Derek Sutton, Christina Sutton, Brody Evanco, Isabella Faid, Jaylee Trotter and Brooke Evanco; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on February 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Prospect Methodist Church in Woodland, AL.
